"These jewel-like paintings intuitively fuse different aesthetic traditions, folk art and old master, with natural grace and an uncanny quality that may be a species of magic." —American Arts Quarterly

Peace, love and unity on Martin Luther King Day “Hand with Golden Laurels and Hero’s Eye” 7x5 inches, oil on aluminum panel. ©️2021 Fatima Ronquillo. private collection. #fatimaronquillo
Underpainting is one of my favorite parts of the painting process. It’s a new start and replete with possibilities. This one is for my upcoming show with @adalynne.ellsworth at Meyer Gallery in Park City @meyergallery on February 24.
Sneak peek of “Winged Victory Riding a Tiger” 32x41 inches oil on aluminum panel ©️2022 Fatima Ronquillo. This painting will be available at the Meyer Gallery in Santa Fe @meyer_gallery
This is a large study drawing for “Victory Riding a Tiger” (32x41 inches, conte crayon on laid paper. ©️2022 Fatima Ronquillo). It is an idea I’ve been working on and off all year. Some paintings take a good while to germinate and this is one of them. It is an homage to Eugene Delacroix’ beautiful drawings and etchings of tigers. The finished oil painting will be revealed shortly and will be available at Meyer Gallery in Santa Fe. @meyer_gallery
new print project with @blackrockeditions
A thousand thanks for a wonderful show to everyone and @meyer_gallery in Santa Fe. “Borderlands” show closes today. It was a very fulfilling body of work to create and one I am so happy to have been able to share.
